This course is about the American Government and its role in the political system of the United States. Topics include, but are not limited to, the role of government, the origins of the U.S. Government, the Constitution, the division of powers, state and local governments, the lawmaking process, the branches of government, and the political party system. This class is geared toward studying how Americans should and can interact with the government and influence the lawmaking process in the United States.
